The school journey casualty statistics for 2007 show an increase in the total number of child casualties on the journey to and from school, largely due to the rise in pedal cyclist casualties. Bus and coach casualties remain unchanged overall, with no fatalities in 2007 (or 2006), but a fall in the number of serious injuries.
