Post 16 transport fees scrapped: Northumberland

The Journal (28th June 2008) has reported that the £360 charge for post 16 transport will be scrapped from September, five years after it was introduced.

The authority has estimated that it could double the number of post 16 student using school buses from 800 to 1,700 and cost the authority an additional £792,000 per year.
