Pay for bus to class, faith schools told.

Thousands of pupils are beings forced to pay for travel to school. The Daily Telegraph (24th May 2008) reports that one in six authorities has introduced charges in recent years or are planning to. Many people, it claims, believe the Government has driven local authorities to start charging parents for transport to faith schools, with the Education and Inspections Act 2006 now requiring councils to offer free school bus trips to more poor pupils.
