The driving theory test for bus and coach drivers is changing from the 4th August 2008. See http://www.dsa.gov.uk/News.asp?id=SXE923-A782EF47, Drivers will be tested on 100 questions and need to answer 85 out of the 100 correctly (compared to 51 out of 60 questions at present). The number of hazard perception clips will also increase. The test will also be split allowing the multiple choice and hazard perception elements to be taken separately. The changes are in preparation for the driver certificate of professional competence (CPC) to be introduced in September, and is aimed at raising the standard of drivers entering the bus and coach industry.
